The Phanteks Enthoo Pro M Special Edition Midi-Tower in the Tempered Glass Edition is an expanded and visually optimised version of the Enthoo Pro M base model. The variant now comes with a stylish side panel in tempered glass to allow an unimpeded view of the case's interior. In addition to the dust filters installed in the front, roof and PSU shroud, the case comes with two pre-installed 140 mm fans equipped with two Phanteks RGB fan frames and this can be supplemented with further fans or radiators (up to 360 mm). Furthermore the case supports motherboards up to E-ATX form factor and a maximum of eight 3,5" and five 2,5" data storage devices, provided two 2,5" drives instead of two 3,5" drives are installed along with the optionally available brackets for maximum drive capacity.
IMPORTANT FEATURES OF THE PHANTEKS ENTHOO ENTHOO PRO M SPECIAL EDITION MIDI-TOWER:
TIMELESS & ELEGANT DESIGN WITH LARGE GLASS SIDE PANEL
The removable front bracket offers a large black mesh acting as an air inlet and is, just like the roof, designed in a premium manner thanks to its black plastic which is styled to look like brushed aluminium. In the upper front you can find a 5,25" slot concealed behind a panel, on the side of the front are located the I/O ports, two USB 3.0 ports as well as two audio ports and a reset button. Even RGB lighting controls are present and accounted for. The left side panel, consisting of a huge pane of tinted glass, also allows for an impressive view of the white frame of the case as well as the installed hardware.
With just a power button in front and several fan slots hidden behind the mesh, the top section continues the seamless look. In contrast to many other cases, Phanteks has installed dust filters not only in the front and bottom of the Enthoo Pro M Special Edition as well. The view from the window also reveals, in addition to the many rubberised cable pass-throughs, a dedicated chamber for the ATX power supply which pulls its fresh air from below without allowing warm air to escape to the rest of the parts in the tower. Up to two 140- or three 120 mm fans or similarly proportioned radiators can be installed behind the front panel. Only the installation of a 360 mm radiator requires the removal of the 5,25" drive age. One 140 mm fan comes pre-installed in the front, and one comes pre-installed in the rear, and this one also comes kitted out with Phanteks Halos RGB fan frames.
The complement of fans can be increased further by two 140- or 120 mm fans. Without the 5,25" cage, three 120 mm fans would be compatible. Alternatively a 280- or 360 mm radiator can be installed, and this is installed by means of a side-mounted retractable bracket in the roof. The installation of a radiator can be hindered due to installed RAM modules - and this can also occasionally result in fans and the radiator being unable to be mounted in the middle but instead are shifted to the left, where the greatest amount of space between the motherboard and the fan/radiator is available. As an alternative to the installation of fans, it is also possible to install a 120- or 140 mm radiator in the rear. Taken in combination this results in strong air intake, heat removal, as well as a superabundance of space for watercooling components.
The white metal cover for the PSU shroud, something that greatly contributes to the appearance of a tidy interior, also offers two mounting bays for 2,5" or 3,5" data storage devices. Alternatively a vibration-dampening pump bracket can be mounted in this location. Should this be installed in conjunction with a larger reservoir or a radiator be mounted behind the front panel, a section of the horizontal divider can be removed, something that expands the mounting possibilities for pumps and reservoirs even further. There are also many options in regards to the installation of drives and watercooling. There is also the option to install up to five further 3,5" or 2,5" drives directly behind the front - the drive trays will be screwed into the motherboard tray.
On the reverse of the motherboard tray is a generous 35 mm of space for tidy cable management. Furthermore a 2,5" bracket with a "Drop-n-Lock" mechanism for a 2,5" drive is available, with another one next to it and a final option located on the PSU shroud. The optional PWM fan hub (LULS-239) can regulate up to eight 3-pin fans via a 3-pin PWM board connector.
Note: Just a single 360 mm radiator can be installed, either above in the roof or in the front.
